2000 Watt Smart Cities Association
In developed countries, the average person consumes energy at an alarming rate of 5000 watt and accounts for around 9 tons of CO2 emissions a year. 2000 Watt Smart Cities Association is a spin-off from the 2000 Watt Society concept developed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, outlining the steps that need to be taken to reduce our energy needs to 2000 watts per person by altering our consumer behavior and increasing the efficiency of our infrastructure and food production. It combines the environmental concerns with the digital age, smart tech and avantgarde connectivity.
